Disney Frozen Fever Party Pack
This book has ideas for a party featuring the characters from Frozen, however, my guess is that most of the ideas are a little too old for the Frozen fan set. One idea, for example, is to deliver invitations in a bottle. How, pray tell, are these invitations supposed to be given to the invitees? I doubt very much that the school would appreciate a student bringing 10 or 15 bottles with invitations inside to be distributed in the classroom, and certainly they aren't going to go through the US mail. I guess the invitations are to be delivered by hand, but who has time for that?If you don't want to hand deliver invitations in a glass bottle, you can hand paint sunflower templates, with multiple colors of paint, making sure not to make the paint too thin. Once you are done painting the invitation, you have to spray it with fixative and then cut it out with small scissors. The book does allow that some people may not have time to hand paint each invitation so it provides a fully illustrated template that can be taken to a printer, enlarged to 150x and photocopied. The book has some cute game suggestions although one game involving drinking a cup of unadulterated lemon juice is probably more suitable for an older crowd than the intended audience for this book.Quite frankly, this book seems to me to just be a ill-conceived attempt to capitalize on the popularity of everything Frozen without any real understanding of what the various little fans of Princess Anna and Princess Elsa truly want or of activities that are appropriate for the Frozen age group.I'm going to save you some money and give you my advice for having a Frozen themed party. You need to tell your attendees to wear their best Frozen costumes. For games you can have cotton ball or marshmallow tosses, pin the crown on the princess's head, "Let it Go" karaoke and sing-along. Snow cones or ice cream and cake for treats (chocolate, of course), and for a craft, let the kids make their own sparkly wands out of found materials and glitter. Your kids will have a terrific time and think you are absolutely the best parent ever.If you are just dying to spend a lot of time making wildly impractical invitations and table top decorations, then go ahead and get this book and throw a party for your friends. It could maybe even be a fun mother/daughter party. Just be very, very careful delivering those invitations in a bottle!

Frozen Fever Party Planning
This Frozen Fever themed party book is lavishly illustrated and filled with fun craft projects, games and recipes. Frozen Fever is a short animation that featuring the characters from the movie Frozen and featured on the latest of the Pixar shorts collections. The book starts with ideas for invitations and goes on to decorations, party food, games and finishes with party favors. While it is a beautiful book with plenty of great ideas, I have two criticisms. The first is that I'm not sure what age group this is intended for. Small children would be delighted with a Frozen party and some parts of this book are appropriate for small children, but their parents will have to be willing to do all the "making." Older children, around 9 or 10 should be able to help create some of the party items and should be able to help with others. So this is probably the best age group for this party. But the party favor for the guests is a candle and I can hardly see that as an appropriate gift to give anyone under their teen years. However Disney seems to be broadening their appeal to stretch all the way from pre-preschoolers with Disney Junior with shows like Princess Sophia and Miles from Tomorrow, up to adults with shows such as Once Upon a Time and fairy tale movies like Maleficent. And let's not forget the recent Tween/Teen movie about the children of Disney Fairy Tale characters - Descendants. So perhaps different age groups can pick and choose among the projects and activities to create an age appropriate party. My second complaint is that it seems they skimped on illustrating the projects with step by step photos. While this is definitely an attractive and heavily illustrated book, those illustrations are often just for decoration and not to be helpful.Still, if you are a big fan of Frozen or Disney, this book may be worth adding to your collection.

Cute book for Frozen Fever parties
Based on the more recent short "Frozen Fever," where Elsa is trying to plan a perfect day for Anna's birthday but gets a cold, this book gives ideas on how to decorate like the short. People who haven't seen the short might be a bit confused, wondering where the ice and snow is - "Frozen Fever" is set in the Spring. It gives directions (including making fondant from scratch!) to replicate Elsa's birthday cake, table and tablecloth decorations, and even Olaf's banner. There is a cupcake option too. It includes directions for making and copying invitations (instructions mention making more copies than necessary in case you make a mistake, which is probably a good tip for a youngster planning a party but seems out of place with from-scratch fondant). There are dishes based on the main characters, party game ideas, and a lemon challenge (try to drink it without making a face or sound). There's even a page or two about the Snowgies. (One major con is that the Snowgies use marshmallows and fondant, but there is not a direct explanation of how to make them.)Parents might want to note food prep is fruit salad, cakes, beverages, a yogurt pop, and cupcakes - no main dishes featuring veg or protein. Parents may also want to heed a word of warning: if you are not the crafty variety, this is not a book you want your child to get and then hope to replicate! If you are good at cooking from scratch, painting, and decorating, it could make quite a cute party.
