Hapi Wasabi Pea Pouch, 4.23 Ounce

I do not think these taste as good as other Wasabi Flavored Peas I have had in the past. I bought 3 bags of these and they just taste a bit off. The peas are very hard.They are a product of China, that should be in their description where food originates from. The concern for us is we have young family members who have fatal allergies. They have already been in NICU from food items wrongly labeled or not labeled with food allergens.You would not think this would have so many different types of allergy warnings but that is a mistake that can cost someone their life!My issue is more with the allergy warning modifications.My bag that was NOT purchased long ago says "Contains: wheat, soybeans and tree nuts (coconut)"No other warning!The bag on the product page says"Contains wheat, soy, tree nuts and FD&C Yellow No 5."****ALSO****Produced in a facility that uses milk, peanut, seeds, seafood, celery, eggs, tree nuts, and stultifies.I just bought these bags not to long ago and was surprised by the labeling change. So check it often because sometimes they change them when someone has eaten it not realizing it was manufactured on equipment that manufactures other things like seafood, nuts, dairy....

I LOVE these things.I tried wasabi peas years ago when I worked at Walmart. Am I allowed to say Walmart to Amazon? Hmmm.Anyway, I'd looked for years and couldn't find good ones. Then I came across these. YUM! They're crunchy, hot, and keep me from snacking on bad stuff.Just make sure y'all keep them at 98 cents a bag, okay? When they were selling for $14 a bag (shame on you sorry sellers who took advantage of and keep taking advantage of this pandemic to make a huge profit)...I decided I'd have to search again. Well, I don't. Thanks, Amazon, for correcting the pricing.Buy them if you like horseradish (wasabi sort of tastes like it - and the heat is HOT but goes away quickly) and peas. I keep a jar beside my recliner for late evening snacking.

Palm Oil is causing destruction of the rian forests. I did not know this when I bought this. I won't be buying it again because I don't support destructive products. Palm oil has been and continues to be a major driver of deforestation of some of the world's most biodiverse forests, destroying the habitat of already endangered species like the Orangutan, pygmy elephant and Sumatran rhino. Horseradish and wasabi, a.k.a Japanese horseradish, are in the same Brassica family of plants that also includes mustard, cabbage, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts. Both are known for their wicked pungency. The listing of "Horseradish" on the label and complaints about it not have "Wasabi" listed is just silly. They are pretty much the same thing.

Now these are good ... they have a very strong wasabi flavor, which I love ... but be warned, they are dried peas, and therefore very high fiber content, which is good for you, but also a very strong methane producer, if you know what I mean :)Addendum: I updated this review, and lowered the rating when I realized that this is complete and total false advertising, and it pisses me off. There is no Wasabi in this product. How do they get away with packaging where the largest word is WASABI, and there is absolutely zero Wasabi in the product? I'm writing a letter to the FTC as soon as I post this update.

I sent a package of quick/easy foods to my dad while he was undergoing chemotherapy. I loved that I could send him a variety of food and not a single bulk item. Chemo messes with your taste and this is just what he needed to help him keep nourished and hydrated.

These wasabi peas are so addicting! I keep healthy snacks at my desk, and this one is definitely a favorite. The package arrived in good condition and was very fresh. The wasabi coating is just the right amount of zip. It's a cumulative heat, so the more you eat the more you feel it. They are not as salty as some other brands I've tried, which is not a bad thing. You taste more of the wasabi flavor than just salt. I would buy these again.

I love Wasabi peas. and these are pretty good. But, it generally concerns me that these come from China. Since they dont even have half the food regulations that we have.

These are great. I was very pleased to discover that they have a nice kick and lots of flavor. I'm always so disappointed when I get wasabi peas and they barely have any taste. This brand is delicious and had enough wasabi on them that I had to be sure not to eat them too quickly or my nose would start burning!
