About the same size as the medium Alice pack but with greater attachment options.
I was impressed with the Molle II Main Pack. I was surprised with it's dimensions and with it's flexibility in using Alice shoulder straps. I guess I could hook up my Molle II frame to it. I ordered a Large Molle II rucksack the week earlier in ACD and was surprised with the size of it. I was afraid that this item would also be the Large Molle II rucksack as well, but it was not, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the individual pack shipped and the attachment options that seem to exceed those of the Alice system. I can readily see after buying each pack that the smaller Main Assault Pack or 3 day Packs are more popular. I read something that the military may phase out the Large Rucksack, but I like mine just the same.

Travel Bag
I bought this with organization in mind and use it without any frame or shoulder straps. Since then i've used it as an overnight bag, or for truck camping to hold my clothes. Cant beat the durability. I bought mine for under 20 bucks, used, quite some time ago. it was worth it at that price for me.

Fantastic Seller!
My son was looking for a camo pack that he could use when he played "army" and this was an absolutely perfect purchase that didn't set me back a fortune! The seller was very reasonable with prices, the item was in perfect condition, and I was extremely impressed with how quickly it shipped!

There are better packs
I thought this pack was comfortable. The shoulder straps are better than the ALICE packs. It has plenty of room with other additional items made for it that are great. However, the frame has much to be desired. For a heavy load this is not a good pack. There is a plastic frame that supports the pack. We used these in the invasion of Iraq. By the time we got back aboard ship, over half of the packs were cracked or in several pieces. We had to put in for an emergency resupply of gear to replace the broken ones. This will be a good for an easy weekend hike. But for heavy use long term, go with the newer military packs or even the older ALICE packs.

Not so great of a pack.
I recently had the entire Molle 2 pack and went camping with it for the first time, hiked up 1,500 feet and back and am here to tell you that i have had WW2 surplus packs that are more comfortable than the Molle 2 pack, it was only used for a short time and the plastic frame cracks very easily. I served in the Army and used Alice packs that were more suitable than the Molle 2. I also used to have the first Molle rucksack and it was much better off than the Molle 2. I would suggest not buying this pack and getting either a Alice pack or the first Molle rucksack, even a civilian padded pack is more comfortable. Dont let the looks fool you, brutal pack that has zero balance with any load and is only comfortable with less than 5 lbs of cargo. Hope this helps someone since i just went through this transition.

You get what you pay for.
Your getting what you pay for, an incomplete molle ruck. I see no external frame, nor the lower compartment. It's 35$ not 85-300$ for molle2 complete ruck. If it's uncomfortable, you probably over loaded and need the complete pack.I was on the Army and I would take a molle 2 complete ruck over an USMC ILBE any day.
