Replacement for lotion
I bought this product because I noticed I was flying through lotion very quickly and I was hoping for something that may last a little longer.I like palmers cocoa butter for scraping and scar treatment so I knew I’d probably like this as well. It goes on very smooth and I feel like every time I apply it I can feel my skin thanking me. When you first apply you’ll obviously feel a little oily but once it’s absorbed you won’t have any issues. It hasn’t stained my bedding at all which I’m very happy about. I have noticed application is easier and the product goes further if you put it on after a shower where your body is still a little damp. The only place I don’t use it is my face. I notice the bottle it comes in has some leakage at the lid which was to be expected so I actually switched it over to a little spray bottle and that does wonders for me.

good purchase
I am in love with this body oil! The cocoa scent is rich, warm, and comforting—it smells like dessert in the best way possible. It glides on super smoothly and leaves my skin feeling deeply moisturized and glowing without being too greasy.I like using it right after a shower while my skin’s still damp—it absorbs beautifully and gives me that healthy, silky look all day. It’s especially great in colder months when my skin needs extra love.If you're looking for something that smells amazing and keeps your skin soft, radiant, and hydrated, this cocoa body oil is definitely worth it.

3.5 if there was the option. Why a 4 and not a 5?
I must say that Palmers really should change the bottle so this is not confused with their cocoa oil Therapy product. I have used the Palmers Cocoa Oil Therapy for a while. I thought this was that. I immediately noticed a difference once I applied it to my skin and then realized that just about everything looks too similar the only key element is the word "Therapy" in the name.So THIS product here is different. This is just an oil, like a massage oil. It is slightly thinker than the Therapy product. While it has a slight cocoa scent, it goes away quickly. My skin does not absorb this product that much so it leaves my skin oily so I need to wipe it off after applying it. In comparison, the Therapy product is absorbed yet the cocoa scent lasts all day. The lingering cocoa scent is a virtue of the Therapy product. I also found the scent of this product more chemical/artificial smelling while the Therapy scent was pleasant and true to chocolate. The Therapy also leaves the skin silky feeling rather than oily as is the case with this product here. The only advantage THIS product has over the Therapy product is the bottle cap. This has a cap designed for pouring. The Therapy cap is designed for spraying. I never sprayed the Therapy product onto my skin. Instead I sprayed some to form a puddle in the palm of my hand then applied it to my skin. I had no use for a spray. These are oils and any overspray could cause problems where it lands. Also, the spray has a tube extending into the liquid. When the bottle gets low the tube cannot suck up the remaining liquid and you end up taking off the cap and pouring the remaining liquid anyway.Bottom line: This is more of a massage oil. It leaves your skin feeling oily. It takes a while to get off your hands washing with warm water and soap then it still requires toweling off to eliminate the oily feeling on your hands.I recommend the Therapy product. It is better absorbed by your skin. It leaves your skin feeling silky. it has a thinner quality to it. It smells better and the subtle scent on your skin lasts all day.

Can’t go wrong with Cocoa Butter oil
I’m a Palmers fan. They always have great product. This one is no different. I love the cocoa butter smell with a hint of coconut. I changed my whole shower routine and added body oil into my after shower care and this has been so good. I add just a few drops to my lotion to help seal in that moisture especially as the summer heat is just starting to dry everything out. It’s not too oily and it absorbs well. I usually let my lotion and the oil sit for a few minutes to soak in before I get dressed. I would definitely recommend this if you like the cocoa butter smell and like body oil!
