I'm a pro musician who was asked to find a wireless mic for my grandson, who's studying acting and being on camera. I tell my wife that there's nothing but junk out there for less than a grand, and says, "See if you can keep it under $100," and leaves.I look and look and look and look, and it all looks like total junk to me with these goofy colors and big square things under the elements. Then I spot this one, and it looks pretty normal. Price is certainly right. Gets good reviews. Got it the next evening, tried it out, and it does not sound bad and has decent range. Don't know about battery life yet, but the fact that it turned on and sounded pretty decent is an encouraging sign it'll be long enough for most uses.Would I ever use it in my capacity as a pro musician/singer? Absolutely not. It's not THAT good. But it's clear and not very noisy and certainly good enough for my grandson to use in getting used to being on camera or radio, and it's better than I ever expected out of a $20 wireless mic.

I used this to DJ/MC a wedding. After checking out the venue (which was huge), I realized there was no way I was going to be able to run a microphone to the area I needed to stand for the introductions. I'm not even sure what the advertised range on this is, but I was easily 200 feet from the receiver and this mic worked without problems. The sound quality is not necessarily AMAZING, but for the 24 dollars I spent, it was a game changer for this gig (and for any future DJ/MC duties in the future). As a musician, I would never consider this type of mic for vocals per se, but as a mic for general announcements and or other types of spoken word, I doubt you'll do much better in this price range.

Update- very good customer service. Had problem with receiver plug contacted customer service thru email- they sent whole replacement unit. If I’d registered product, it would have extended warranty to 1year free, even though I hadn’t, they still backed their product.Bought this in August, used it 3 times with speaker amp. Worked really well, good range of 50', good quality, batteries seemed to last for a while. But on 3rd use, the 1/4" plug on the receiver unit fell apart. Contacted Aokeo wireless support thru Amazon rep. Let's see if they stand behind their product? They did.

This microphone is a great deal battery last a long time ,great qaulity too the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the volume is lower than other microphones we use .so it takes some adjustment to make them all the same volume .if you are only using one of these ,or several all from this manufacturer you will not regret it! Great value for the money .really helps us keep the church budget low and get our needs met

Nice sound, It’s just annoying to have to charge the receptor each time , I would it like that the receptor takes energy from the speakers . The battery doesn’t last long.

I love the sound of this mic but am disappointed that you have to be so close to the tailgater box in order for it to work. The signal strength is low. I was hosting a panel and was sitting right next to the panelist. The signal was so low that it couldn’t even reach women 2 people away.

Several times I found the receiver dead. The teeny-tiny LEDs that signal On or Charge or Connected lay next to the antennae, along with the teensy on/off button. Very hard to see when plugged into a pedal on the floor, like TC-Helicon Harmony Gx. So I'm a lot more careful about charging between uses! Have not noticed a quality difference between a mic cable or this wireless system! I absolutely love the confidence of AA rechargeable batteries in the microphone!!! YES!!! Can carry spare electricity; the receiver shouldn't use as much charge as the transmitter/microphone.
