Great value for money
It’s very easy to carry around. Recently I went to comic con and it was very hot, when I wasn’t using it, I could just hang it around my neck.Just a word of warning, when you leave it in your bag, it’s very easy to accidentally turn it on. However if I have done this, I’ve been able to turn it off before anyone noticed. The battery life is really good, I’ll charge it and not use it for a few days and when I’ll pick it up again it is as if I had just charged it.

Brilliant wee cooling fan!
Hand held fans are a great thing to have and while this one is slightly larger it's still perfectly portable for anyone with a reasonable sized bag. It's a 4 inch high fan shaped like a cat but the styling is a bit superfluous as the fan is what you want and you certainly get one good fan in it.Like many battery devices it's recommended to do a full chage before use and if you have a USB mains plug it'll charge in about 1-1/2 hours or less. However, while you can use a computer or other device to attempt charging, firstly it'll take longer and with a laptop will reduce that device's battery power as well. The instructions also provide an ambiguous warning about "Do not use desktop/laptop or adaptor below 5V-1000mA to charge the product" so I think I'd stick with a mains adaptor where possible. Plenty of other warnings about battery removal before disposal etc but it would appear it's not a replaceable battery - probably because it's a relatively inexpensive item to replace.Fans powered by USB charged batteries are often short lived things that don't tend to run well, but this certainly appears to be capable of not only putting out a good bit of cool air flow but to do it for long enough to really be of value. It has 3 settings, low, med & high and of course battery charge length will depend on how long and how high you have that setting. There's so much power put out from both the medium and high settings it won't stay standing up on a desk etc which is a frustration. If the base could have been made more stable it would have got the full 5 stars from me as it's otherwise a superb fan. Finally you have a cool little LED lamp effect at the front which randomly changes colour which adds to the enjoyment. What's not to love!

Small and cut fan that is surprisingly powerful, not for under 6
This is a cute, palm sized fan which has been styled to look like a cat. There are three fan speeds and a colour changing LED light option, the fan can be used without the lights ad the lights can be used without the fan. There is a simple one button operation- quick press to put the fan on and go up the speeds, long press to put the light on and long press to put it off again. The fan can stand independently on its base ( when not in use) or be hand held, there is also a neck ribbon attachment which allows you to carry it lanyard style around your neck or loop it through the handle of a buggy etc.It is definitely designed to appeal to a young audience and I pleased to see that it is fairly robust, little fingers are safe from the spinning blades and the battery is not accessible. It takes roughly 2 hours to get a full charge and from this you will get roughly the same amount of time in usag, obvthe faster the fan speed and the more features you use ( lights on ) the quicker the battery will run down. The fan runs quietly, not silently, but quietly, getting louder with each increase in speed. The lowest setting is a gentle breeze, but even at this speed the fan will move itself if placed on a smooth surface, if you go above the first fan setting the fan literally blows itself over as the drag created by the wind is too much for its small size and weight. The LED light changes colour, starting with red, then green, blue, white, yellow, white and back to red. There is no option to stop the light at any colour and only have that lit, it will continuously scroll through the colours or go off, that’s the choice. The little rubber ears are very temptfor young children to chew on, so it is best from ages six and up.Where it works best is as a portable fan you pop into a handbag and use sporadically as a hand held fan, it’s great for ladies of a certain age as it is small enough to carry with you and use on public transport or discretely at a restaurant table etc.

Great for out and about (but slightly less good as a desk fan).
Before it arrived I expected this fan to just be a novelty item- something to give to one of my kids in return for getting one of my ‘proper’ fans back- but I underestimated it. Despite being small and lightweight, this fan packs a genuinely surprising air-pushing punch, and a very decent battery life as well. On the lowest of the three settings it can still move enough air to be a cooling hand fan on a hot walk, and I ran this fan from fully charged to flat on the lowest setting and it lasted well over an hour- far longer than I’d expect since the battery clearly can’t be that heavy. One thing to note is that it does clearly say “hand held fan”, so it ought to be forgiven for the fact it can barely stand up properly. It’s so light and the base of it is so narrow that if you put it down on a hard flat surface, on the medium setting, it pushes itself over! So it’ll work as a desk fan, but only if you prop it up a bit. Another negative if you’re thinking “desk fan” is the glowing red LED light when it’s charging, which is a bit ugly. But judging it strictly as a hand-held fan, I’m very impressed. The fan-face is a little bit odd when you think about it (where are the eyes? etc.) but it was cute enough to warrant my kids fighting over it (politely, thankfully). It will slip into the corner of a bag- or a pocket at a push, though you need to be careful not to accidentally pocket-press the power button- and for being out and about on a hot day, it’s a really useful accessory. Despite looking like a novelty item, I think this might be the best under-a-tenner fan I’ve encountered.
