The cleat is obviously NOT made in the U.S.A.!!
Not bad, but after I put up the pole and raised the flag up, wrapped the halyard at the cleat, the top of the cleat snapped right off. I have a spare one that will replace it with so as not to have to send it back, however.

Good "starter flagpole"
We live on a lake and wanted to put up a flagpole for quite some time. A lady at work told me about her made in the US flagpole she bought the other day for over two hundred bucks. I started looking and found a good deal for this one on Amazon's warehouse deals.Don't be fooled by the packaging: even though the packaging looks "all American", the flagpole is actually made in China. The only piece made in the US is the actual flag.Setting up the pole is not a big problem, it all fits together easily and seems pretty sturdy. It comes with a plastic sleeve which will be cemented into the ground and the pole goes in there. If you are afraid of making a huge cement foundation don't worry: I dug a hole about 8" in diameter (using an ice fishing auger which made the digging part a one minute exercise). Put the plastic sleeve in and filled the hole up with cement... Just get a small bag of ready mix cement at your hardware store for three bucks and you are all set. Even if you decide you don't like the flagpole any longer you can easily remove this small cement foundation.I had it up since two months now, flying two flags and even though we had some strong winds it's still standing strong. If you want an easy to assemble, standard model flagpole for your yard this is it.

get what you pay for, and this is an entry level flagpole
if you can dig a hole and put in some gravel and quick dry cement, this is your flagpole. it arrived in just a couple days with amazon prime and went together fast. the hole was prepped in about 30 minutes and after the cement set for 36 hours, we put the pole together and put it in the hole. it moves around in the sleeve -- there is an inch or more of play. instructions say to seal it with caulk, but it seems that would be a large amount of caulk and the play might cause it (the cault) to crack.after reading other reviews, i put two 10' long 1.25" pvc pipes inside the pole during assembly.the pole is china made and the flag was made in USA.i'll update this review as time proves the value of this purchase.i'd gotten a "heavy duty" pole ($180) from another store through amazon and sent it back right away--it was trash. this one replaces it at $100.

Great Flagpole
I have 2 of these flags. Great flagpoles. One at my home and another at my lakehouse. I have had 2 of them snap in half. I keep 2 flags on each flagpole. Lost one in a small confirmed tornado and the other after an ice storm was quickly followed up by a windstorm. Getting flagpole section replacements is difficult, time consuming, but not impossible. Used to be able to buy these flagpoles at Meijer, but now they don't carry them anymore. Have to buy them on Amazon.com. After the tornado, I only needed to replace one section, but I bought the whole flagpole. I now have replacement parts. My poles are topped with the Annin solar lightpole flag light.. They are awesome and light up my whole yard. Great pole for the money.

Not sturdy enough for the height of the pole.
Very excited until it was put up. My contractor dug down deep and made a nice hole for the pole, put the bottom part in and let the cement dry for a few days, then came back to finish assembling the rest of the pole. It's too tall for when it's windy. It's not sturdy at all. Anything more than a 10/15 mile and hour wind, the pole is swaying back and forth. Seems very dangerous. And then you add the solar light that was bought for the top making it even more top heavy and more dangerous so we took out one of the poles and that's a little better but not much. Had I known it wasn't very sturdy I wouldn't have bought it.

Even with reinforcement, mine broke after a year
I've owned since May of '21. Shortly after installed, a strong 40mph wind caused the middle section to have a slight bow along its length. After contacting Annin, they replaced the section and everything was straight. At that point, I reinforced the bottom two sections with PVC. All was good for about a year. Two weeks ago, we had storms move through. The peak wind gust was 33mph. I usually remove the flag, when I know something is amiss, yet the average was around 22. One gust. Just one gust measured on my weather instrument and the bottom section (reinforced) broke at the ferrule on the shoulder where it is drawn narrow. The force of the fall also broke one horn of the cleat.I reached out by email once again to see if it was under warranty, or even if I could buy the parts. Crickets. I sent them photos of what I described. Looked nice while it lasted. Seemed like wall thickness was reasonable. I guess when it is drawn at the shoulder, it gets thinner, and that is where it failed.8/15/22: After writing Annin direct back in June, I have received no dialog from them, and my problem remains as it was. I removed the broken section, so my flagpole is that much shorter, and I have a broken cleat. I have lowered my rating to 2 stars for lack of customer service. IF you are considering a section flag pole AND have winds above 25mph, this is NOT the pole for you.

Great Flagpole, No Issues with Pole Bending in High Winds
As the CEO of ProDryers.com, I understand the importance of reviews. I read all the reviews for this flagpole set and the one thing that concerned me was the fact that a few said the pole would bend or break in high winds. My family has a construction background and knew right away that you had to pour concrete not only in the hole, but also as high up as possible in the base of the pole. By doing that, the pole is much stronger and less likely to bend in high winds. We have had several high winds so far and no issues at all with the flagpole bending. We have only had the flagpole up for about 30 days now, but I can't see it bending unless a tornado comes by. It seems extremely sturdy with the concrete poured into the pole.
