Simple, easy, inexpensive cell phone holder.
Simple, easy, inexpensive cell phone holder. The double sided tape that came with it didn't hold when the car got really cold in the winter, but I replaced it with some 3M double sided tape and it worked great.

Disclaimer: We did not buy at Amazon; can't comment on shipping service from this vendor and the delay to ship is currently a long time (2 to 4 weeks?!). But I'll review the item in case it helps someone decide...Very happy with this Xtreme Universal Cell Phone Holder. I bought one of these before Christmas at a clearance store in our area (Ollie's, for a dollar less) and liked it enough that I went back today and bought more of them. They had them in a bright blue and a white as well as in black. We had installed (stuck) the first one on the outside corner of our breakfast nook booth, where for a few years, we have had a microUSB cord just hanging over the back of the booth for items that need charging in the kitchen. The cord was always slipping around on the floor, under the booth, and we'd have to stretch the cord across to set the charging item on the table. Just messy. This keeps it organized very nicely. The only reservation I have is that time will have to tell whether the "Leaves No Residue" claim is warranted. We haven't tried to reposition ours. If we have a reason to move one of these, I'll post about how easily it was removed and replaced. Meanwhile, we are putting thought into where we stick them. I can say that the glue pad on the back (about 2" x 2.5"?) is strong enough -- I don't think the holder is going to fall off under the weight on a phone. Don't know whether that would hold true if it was repositioned. This holder is very soft flexible rubbery -- plastic, I guess. So my Android phone still fits down in this even though it's in a flip cover that makes the phone bigger -- the holder stretches a bit and holds it firmly but we don't find it hard to remove or insert the phone at all. There's a bigger hole in the bottom for the cord to come up through, and there are two little notches at the top side edge to hold the cord in by tension. When we aren't charging something, we coil the excess cord up and just poke it in the top of the holder to keep it organized.Today, I stuck a second one to the vertical side of my [custom slat type] wooden mattress foundation, at about shoulder level where I can grab the phone if we're in bed. It's in the gap between the bed and the bedside table. My Android barely reaches up above the foundation, and I figure when I'm dealing with changing linens, the phone won't be in place so the holder won't be in the way. Figured it would be more accessible than the wall behind/by the bed, and that it won't ruin the foundation. (Not trusting the glue pad on the fine furniture.) Again, it's a relief to have the cord organized and the phone accessible.
