Kenmore Factory OEM 8562081 for 8268858 Silverware Basket Assembly

We inherited our original silverware basket when we bought our home a couple years ago, and the previous owner seemed to have placed items dripping hot grease into the dishwasher, melting the basket and several other areas of the dishwasher. Trying to put silverware into a basket that had holes for the silverware to slip through became very frustrating, especially when it caught on the door or frame of the dishwasher while sliding the wracks in and out.This was a very worthwhile investment and saves me and my wife from a lot of frustration. I am very happy with our new basket.

I was worried about the build/material quality but it seems to be just like the original. I still made wire mat inserts from stainless steel mesh to help protect the plastic bottom from butter knives. I’ll probably replace the whole dishwasher before the basket fails, After all its over 15 years old.

After more than 10 years of constant use, the bottom of our dishwasher's utensil basket started to break apart. I doubted that we would be able to find a perfect replacement, but a quick search sent me to Amazon for the exact item we needed. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Yay!! Now, I just hope the DW lasts as long as the new basket.

This is even better than the original silverware holder that came with my dishwasher. Well made. Individual slots so the silverware isn’t “smushed” together which allows for everything to get cleaner.

Actually nicer than the originals from my keynote elite.. sturdier and the holes in the bottom are a bit small so less fall through. Rather pricy tho..

I'm happy that we went with the factory version, fits well and has the option to use all 3 baskets or however many fit your needs.

Fits very well on my Kenmore dishwasher. Just started using it, so don’t kno how it will do in the long run.. will come back in six months.
