Bought a 2001 F150 and the sunroof broke a week later, plastic pieces fell from the sky and it wouldn’t close. I read a review from another buyer that had the same truck I do and he said it worked, well I’m sold! Read the install forums, watched a YouTube video, and three mistakes on my part, loosing two parts for an hour, and a lunch break I have it installed AND IT WORKS! Plan on taking about six yours too do it, with a lunch break so ………… sixish depending on how mechanically inclined you are, honestly think I could do it much faster now, oh yeah, no instructions so I’ll just let you know you’ll need a rivet gun.

Had to make modifications not a exact fit for 2010 Ford Lariat. Overall would say worth the price and much better alternative to fix than pay Ford $2,400.00!Big job, removing entire heading in truck to get to the sunroof. Expect a 5-6 hour job.

I ordered another brand’s kit to back up this brand’s kit because it would not seat the rain rail in to the clip. This kit does NOT seat the rain rail correctly (1 stars). I did use the rest of this kit (5 stars) because the main track glide fit where as the other brand’s did not. So I used parts from 2 kits ($29 and $44) to make one kit to work without modifying either. Either way I spent $73 and save a boat load. This is my experience on my 2009 F-150 Crew FX4. Your experience may very depending on which vehicle you have.

This sunroof repair kit worked as described on amazon. I had to replace the tracks on my 2013 Ford F250, the extended warranty I purchased did not cover that repair because they said it was not a mechanical malfunction it was just the plastic tracks that failed and broke. So the repair was my responsibility and would cost me $2400 out of pocket. I chose to repair it myself so my total cost was just the part itself and saved myself $2300! It took my wife and I, 2 four hour days to complete the repair. We made sure we took our time and installing it right without rushing and everything turned out perfect. Now my sunroof works great again! With the extra money I saved I installed amber cab lights since I had to remove the inside headroof. Glad now that I decided to tackle the work myself. Fear, persistence and commitment is what got me to be able to get it done!

I fixed the sunroof on my 2001 Ford F150 Lariat using this product. The kit fit perfectly, and with the help of a UTube video that I found online, I performed a very expensive sunroof repair for almost nothing. My only complaint with this product is that the right and left assemblies were not marked as such. As such, I recommend you lay them out (next to your existing brackets) before you remove the old ones...This will be obvious to you after you remove the sunroof assembly and have it laid out on your table. The repair job wasn't as hard as it was frightening to start. Once I got going, it went very smoothly. However, that said, I recommend you search out a good UTube video as a guide. I used one titled "09-14 Ford F-150 sunroof repair COMPLETE GUIDE ... the difference between the 01 and the 09 design isn't significant enough to make a difference).
