Versatile
This is the perfect seasoning for adding a just a subtle flavor boost to baked chicken or used in greater quantity to spice up Singapore Noodles, etc. It gets complements and "recipe" requests. It is a staple in my kitchen.

An old reliable brand that's still a dependable staple in the spice rack.
I think the formulae has changed over the years, (it's been awhile) I remember it used to be a little more robust and interesting. It's still very good (and the texture is smoother now, it used to be very gritty). It's not surprising, what with the cost of everything going up, the wholesale prices of really top tier quality spices must be astronomical these days. That being said, this is still my favorite and it's interesting mixing this with other brands or adding my own individual spices to enhance the overall flavor.

Great product
I've used this product for years. Great flavor that lasts. It's quite a large container so pay attention to how much you want to order. I've kept it a couple years without the flavor being affected.

The only curry I use
I cook a lot of middle eastern and Indian food. I have used many different types of curry mixes over the years and this is the only one I would recommend. It has the perfect blend and balance of spices

This very was legit, great flavor and maybe just a little heat compared to super market brands.

Delicious!
We tried the gold tin first and we loved it. We were curious about the green tin. It did not disappoint. Gold is still our favorite, but the green is still tasty with a more citrus flavor and not as spicy.

Do not eat this raw! India is not sanitary.
Hot Madras Curry is delicious. It is the curry I use to make Singapore noodles, among other things. I would give this a 5 star rating except for the problem of sanitation. This brand is not to be eaten without first cooking it to kill any pathogens. I didn’t realize this at first and used it on deviled eggs. I suffered intestinal problems for days afterwards. Then i scrutinized the box, and it did state in very tiny letters to cook it. (I had to use the zoom feature on my camera to be able to read it).As Americans, we are accustomed to our food products being made with stringent sanitation standards. This is made in India. They clearly don’t have the same quality and safety standards. But if you use it only in cooked foods it’s probably ok. Just cook it well. Flavor wise, it is tasty.I may go back to McCormick, though, because I don’t want to worry about contamination or diseases.
