DIYmall 16 Bits 16 X WS2812 5050 RGB LED Ring Lamp Light with Integrated Drivers

I used the ring to update the upper object light for my optical microscope Leica Zoom 2000. The ring color is driven by EFM8BB51 microcontroller on a custom board which is mounted right at the objective. The desired color is pure white, but because of a weaker intensity of the blue component it became a bit yellowish when each color components is set to 0xFF (maximum brightness). That was a reason for giving 4 stars to the product. Otherwise, it is well engineered and the board is even equipped with the recommended resistor at input. It gets a bit warm by operating permanently at full brightness when the maximum current consumption is about 650mA.

Just soldered a three pins and I was up and running in minutes with WLED. Really bright, really nice colors. Exactly what I wanted.

Work well, easy to use. These rotate counterclockwise, as opposed to the Keyes variant which rotate clockwise. Using the two together can make for some interesting, and easy, projects. If course, you can program around that. There are no wiring instructions or directions, but electronic components like this rarely have such. The soldering contacts are clearly labeled, 5v power, ground, data in, data out, hardly rocket science.These are functionally equivalent to the Adafruit Neopixel rings, and you can check their site. and many others, for more info, sample programs.Typical deployment is with an Arduino Uno.

Super bright and super easy to get started with prototyping on an Arduino or EPS8266. I was not sure if it would work at 3.3 volts but I haven't had any issues using it with the ESP. The LEDs produce bright light that is nicely blended, so the independent colors aren't visible when mixing them together. Showing the color white is very bright and clean They also are responsive and fast to respond to updates even though it only needs one pin!

They're great! They may not match the leds from another company on some hues but other then that they're great.

These are indistinguishable from the Adafruit version except for the silkscreen and price. I've bought a lot of them from Adafruit, their quality is superb but I like a price break occasionally.
