Fits OM-1 & Minolta Hi-Matic
The simplicity of this design is an elegant solution to fitting a common, modern battery into an Olympus OM-1 or a Minolta Hi-Matic. I like this much better than trying to fold up foil or paperclips around hearing aid batteries etc.

This adapter is fabulous!
I have a near-mint condition Nikon FTn that has been serviced to use with non-mercury batteries, but I still needed a means to use newer, but smaller silver oxide batteries. This adapter fits and works perfectly! My 53-year-old camera is as good as new!

Brass adapter for adapting small battery cells to larger battery compartments
Adapter works as expected, e.g., to use small 675 1.3V hearing aid batteries in place of a larger MBR625 Wein cell. Note that these particular adapters are not electronic, so they do not alter the battery voltage. Additionally, they may not fit perfectly in all older equipment designed for mercury batteries.

Not a tight fit, but work, and are worth the expense.
While smaller batteries used with these adapters may be exhausted more quickly using an LR44 and this adapter, the cost difference is worth it. The cost of these adapters plus 40 LR44s is still lower than a set of 4 MR-9 batteries. If my review is helpful, make sure to hit the "helpful" button.

Cheap way to make old cameras usable again (without soldering)
One way to make old cameras accept new batteries is to do some soldering. I don't know how to solder, and I don't care to learn on the beloved old Minolta that my dad gifted me years ago. These adapters and 675 zinc-air batteries get the job done for me. After putting this combo into my old SLR, my exposures came out just fine. Plus, these adapters are vastly cheaper than ones you'll find elsewhere. If you want to revive your old cameras' meters without resorting to amateur surgery, get these.

Be aware that it doesn't convert voltage
This is just a metal spacer that allows you to fit hearing aid batteries into the battery compartment of vintage electronics. Unfortunately, the batteries remain 1.5v, which means that for devices that do nothing to convert the voltage of the battery, readings will be off and they may suffer uneven performance.Consider instead looking for models that convert the voltage if that is important to your application: This may be cheap and fast to ship, but you will end up having to order the correct one eventually. Before using with a camera or light meter, test the device against a simple phone light meter before heading out for a day of shooting.

works!
For older cameras and meters that required the no longer available mercury base button cells, this allows the use of very inexpensive and easily found watch/hearing aid batteries. For voltage sensitive applications, I use the silver oxide 386 (SR43W) cell. Alkaline are are less expensive and work well in devices that are not sensitive to voltage. I am using these in a Canon F1n, a Gossen Luna Pro and some other older photo equipment.
