Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colour Paint, 0.47-oz Tube, Indigo

Very good color but it’s more of a lighter bluish indigo color compared to Daniel smith. I love it though.

It lacked the quality for serious students and was less product. Side by side comparison was noted.

If you know the difference between Winsor Newton "Professional" and "Cotman" then you know one (Cotman) is cheap beginner grade an the other (Professional) is a much better quality that cost much more.Now if you can do simple math, you know that 8ml is much less than 14ml. So I ordered $14.00 WN Proffesional 14ml and got 8ml of WN Cotman.Classic Bait and Switch.

Received this item faster than estimated by Amazon or the seller. Winsor & Newton makes really good art products including interesting mediums to use with a wide variety of paint. This indigo color was needed for a watercolor workshop That I am currently enrolled in to practice working with dark shades . I would recommend this item & seller to watercolor enthusiasts,

As a watercolor artist I have tried several brands of watercolors, from tubes to pans, artisan and commercial. Winsor Newton Indigo remains one of a handful of staples that I always keep with me. It has a reliable color from batch to batch, while the indigo shade itself does in my opinion tend to lean a bit more teal than deep blue, I find this gives a lot more depth. I often pair it with a Paynes gray for simple monochromatic sketches. I keep a tube of this in my travel kit and its easier to pour my own pans of it for use. I find it settles well and reactivates. While often times I feel like you can pay more for a name than quality, Indigo is an exception batch to batch I know what to expect and can start with one tube, finish with another and have it blend. Nothing better to be said than reliable.

W&N professional, is one of my most favorite watercolor brands. Pigments are of amazing quality, and color payoff is superior.
