Works as expected

These are excellent for working with microelectronics and also useful where piercing the insulation of a copper wire is necessary for troubleshooting. The probes come with protective caps for the very sharp tips and dust caps for the meter connections. Alligator clip adapters allow one or both of the probes to be connected to large wires or terminals which is very useful. The probe tips have a recessed collar that allows micrograbber test clips to be securely attached to the probe tip which can be useful in some tests. The probe wire insulation is silicone and looks to be of high quality. For most people, these will not be the everyday meter probes to use as they are needle-sharp. But they are very useful when working on surface mounted components.

Wire isn't quite as soft as I would have liked, given that the softness is mentioned in the product description - not much less stiff than the leads that came with my cheap-o walmart multimeter.Through normal use over one month (touching IC legs and solder points for through-hole components on stereos and arcade pcbs), I somehow managed already to bend one of the metal tips. It's no big deal, and doesn't affect functionality, but it's still surprising, because it's not like I'm using these tips as a box cutter to open packages, just poking at pcbs.That said, I do really like the super sharp tips, and how they feel in the hand overall - plus having the alligator clip option to hand is much more useful than I would have guessed. I use these nearly every day now, and I'm glad I bought them. Tips have stayed nice and sharp.

This is a great upgrade for any multimeter they are changeable, have all the extra pins and probes you need to properly check automotive electrical components.
