Easy to use and works well
Easy to use and molds beautifully for my purpose which was to make castings of plaster decorative accents for an old ceiling. One thing I noticed is that it took a lot longer for the mold to start to set than what the directions indicate. I found that to be a good thing because it gave me more time to get ready. As the directions indicate, once it does start to set, you only have a few seconds to place your items in the mold. I found that small batches were the best.

Great product. Easy to use.
This is one of the easiest casting products to work with. It is forgiving and has ample set up time. I have used it many times and always come back to it.

Very fast set time!!
It really makes a decent lightweight mold for certain projects. The only thing is the set time which is almost instant so if that's what your looking for, this is the product for you.

Looks Good, But Comes with Warnings.
Perfect Mold: This is a pretty large package with lots of information on the back. Simple directions, easy mixing & pouring, but also warnings, because this is NOT just like plaster of Paris. Have all the safety equipment, Goggles, filter or respirator, gloves, apron or lab coat. Avoid breathing the dust or getting it in your eyes. Just to be on the safe side don't get it on your skin or clothes. If I have to go to all that trouble I expect great things to happen with this stuff...! (Sawing, grinding, filing, rasping or sanding your mold may justify using the same safety standards.)

Awesome for quick temporary mold making
This stuff was just what I needed for quick and dirty mold making. I will say, for anyone who has never worked with this stuff before, it breaks apart once it has set so you need to fill this with whatever youre making your positive cast out of. Since it holds a LOT of water too, it does tent to stay wet , at least it did for me. Mixing it was super easy though, you can basically eyeball it, and it sets in minutes. SO grateful to not waste days waiting for silicone molds to cure before being able to get a cast. Sped up the process quite nicely and really worked for my needs.

Fun crafting
The image shows a plaster cast I did of my right hand. The plaster one is on the right, my real hand on the left is holding it. Of course your results may vary, and I did paint it.

Wasted money and time
I weighed the alginate and measured the water, blended it well so I had no lumps in it, nevertheless I could not get a substance that I could make a mold from. The stuff did not stick together, it was crumbly and fell apart. It is more than annoying, I wanted a mold from a deceased's hand as a keepsake. I did 3 trials with my ownIs it possible that the powder I got was too old?

Great experience and piece of art
I love how it turned out, the shorter length of time to process and the color change.
