As the Title Suggests. The process for setting up these bulbs is unnecessarily complex for android users, but once you do it, the actual use of the bulbs is simple.In order to get the devices to show connect to you wifi network, you MUST enable airplane mode on your android device and then enable your wifi afterward on the device WHILE KEEPING AIRPLANE MODE ENABLED.For whatever reason, the app will time out and fail to pair the device if you do not do this. this is in the instructions on the website when you got to troubleshoot the issue, but for whatever reason that have not updated the literature inside of the box itself.Even after you do this, the bulb may fail to connect to the network the first time you go to pair it. if that happens, simple turn it off and on 5 times and allow it to cycle through the light sequence before attempting to pair it again.As for the product itself, It is extremely bright and has a great quality to the light. I am replacing a house full of lohas smart bulbs, and the the difference in the quality and color of light in person is night and day. Its cleaner, its more even, and it fills a space better.The picture in the listing is the Lifx bulb on the right and the Lohas bulb on the left. Keep in mind you can often get 8 lohas bulbs from the price of a SINGLE lifx so they punch well above their weight class, but there is a difference and a noticeable one is a side by side comparison.The array of visible colors is much better and the accuracy of often hard to hit colors like yellows, vibrant greens, and pink are present and vibrant.The ONLY issue i have with these bulbs is the pairing process. There is no reason i can fathom that it needs to be this complex, but it is and for the result i am willing to pay the price of having to turn on airplane mode for the initial setup.no issued controlling these with my google enabled home devices.Would reccomend.

easy installation, easy setup, tons of features and schedule options. I've used mine as exterior lights and have them dimmed down to about 20%. roughly 30 minutes before sunset and 30 minutes after sunrise they are scheduled to slowly fade in/out so I never have to worry about the lights being on for guests at night or turning them off during the day. they've held up well for years and are a great price considering the quality of the product and the features

I purchased this to replace an old first generation color 1000 which did not have home kit compatibility. I’ve been loving it ever since. Great product from reputable company. I’ve noticed that it sometimes resets to default white color and illumination, but once I command it with Siri, it quickly adjusts to the last color settings. Not sure why it resets randomly at times, but it’s a minor inconvenience that’s not really a huge problem, since I have no problems reconnecting or resynching.

Basically, this is a great product and the app, though a bit convoluted, also works well. It is worth the price if you need a bulb that changes colors and is sufficiently bright to serve in all but the largest rooms. On the downsides, the Google integration is not perfect and there are only a limited number of things you can do with the bulb. The startup sequence has gotten better than the original version, but this bulb still only handles 2 GHz (though it can coexist on a network that provides both.) The worst thing is that when there are frequent power outages (we live in Florida where the summers are constant short power outages), the bulb can lose connectivity. This means starting from scratch and removing the old version and adding a new one. This is not terrible but it is time consuming. Likewise, the app could be much better organized. It is a hodgepodge of settings of various types in menus that are not always clear. However it does work and works well so that overcomes any problems there might be. I would certainly recommend this bulb.

Really happy with this smart bulb. It's brighter than all the other bulbs I've tried, and that includes the colors. With the ones from other brands I've tried, usually only the white is bright and the colors are quite dim, but this bulb has very bright and vibrant colors.Setting it up was also no issue, and I've had no connectivity issues. Works great with Google Home. Will be happy to buy more LIFX bulbs in the future.
