Integrates Into Third-party Security Systems
The day and night picture quality is good for this price point. I could afford to buy 2, so the viewing areas will overlap.Setup: Using the phone app is not all that helpful. The LOUD, annoying voice announcement from the camera is obnoxious. Since I will be using this with a local surveillance recording system versus the phone app, setting up via the phone was a waste of time. I tried this only after failing to get the wireless to connect; let me explain. Reolink has a nice setup and control application that runs on a Windows PC. The E1 Pro has a physical Ethernet port that allows easy, wired network connection. I recommend using your smartphone to read the UID code off of the nearly microscopic QR code on the bottom of the camera. Type this into the UID space on the desktop app. Select "add camera", make sure UID is highlighted and type the code in. You can select Wifi setup and enter the WPA code. This seamed so simple, but I fought the Failed Connection issue for an hour. I tried the phone setup app, but no joy! I had been sure to add the camera MAC to my Wifi MAC filter table. Then DUMMY! The Wifi MAC is different than the Ethernet MAC. I had to temporarily disable MAC filtering, record the Wifi MAC, and add that to my filter table. Camera works great. I love that it supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi. If using third party systems, be sure to enable all the network services when setting up the camera via the desktop app.Select the camera, select Setup (the gear), go the Network > Advanced.Using: I will use the cameras during an upcoming trip. I appreciate that my surveillance system quickly easily found the E1 Pro and supports the Pan and Tilt feature. I will report on the results later.

Great cams made better by great support!
First unit I received had some issues, which was surprising after such a great experience with my previous purchase of an E1 Outdoor, but these things happen occasionally. Reolink sent out a replacement unit the same day I submitted my return request and I received my new unit the next day. No issues with this unit in the same location so I guess the first one was actually faulty. Got to love a vendor that stands behind their products 100%!The other thing I love about Reolink is their openness and dedication to open source protocols and projects. You have lots of choices for how you consume your camera and you're not tied to someone's app or cloud. Home Assistant integration is amazing and is actively developed. But even if you didn't want to use their integration, you could get your cam into Home Assistant via other methods like Onvif or RTSP. With Reolink, you have options.Like my E1 Outdoor, the camera provides a great image and good streaming as well as local recording with plenty of options for alerts and notifications. AI detection is outstanding for a locally processed detection. If I had to dig for any cons, the only one would be the lack of a patrol mode. I realize it puts strain on the PTZ motor, but it's really useful for two locations I have that I would replace the existing cam with a new Reolink.Very happy with my second purchase (and my quick support resolution) and will be purchasing again.

Great Quality for the Price, Works Perfect for quick deployments
I’ve been using these Reolink E1 Pro cameras for a while now and I’m seriously impressed, especially for the price. I picked up the 2-pack and only use them in the house when we leave for trips and want to keep an eye on the dogs. After the first setup, it’s as simple as plugging them in. They automatically connect and start working. When we get back, I just unplug them until the next time we need them. They were super easy to set up. Connected to Wi-Fi (both 2.4 and 5 GHz) with no issues. I store all the footage on my Synology NAS, and while Synology’s Surveillance Station is alright, I actually prefer Reolink’s app. It’s faster, easier to use, and just works better for everyday stuff.Video quality is sharp. The motion tracking and person/pet detection features work really well. I’ve used the two-way audio a few times just to mess with my dog or talk to my kid, and it’s super clear. The best part is there’s no monthly fee unless you want their cloud stuff. I just record everything locally to the NAS and it’s solid. Definitely a great option if you want something reliable and easy to use without breaking the bank.Highly recommend. I’ll be buying more when I need extra coverage.

Nice camera for the money, upgrade the firmware with caution.
The camera itself is OK. Image quality is fine as is low light performance.PTZ is laggy and past experience suggests that the motor drives are self-destructing so don't move it around too much. There was an out of the box firmware update that broke much of connectivity protocols. After the upgrade the following protocols were broken - HTTP, HTTPS, RTMP. The only options were to configure using the REOLINK app and RTSP.Contacting REOLINK support took almost three days of back and forth to get them to email the shipping firmware to restore functionality. Due to the HTTP/HTTPS protocols being broken by the "upgrade", it is necessary to upgrade via the Windows app.TLDR: Nice camera for the money, upgrade the firmware with caution.EDITReolink reached out and offered a full refund. I will be refusing it because the camera works for me as long as I don't upgrade the firmware. I should also mention that tech support was as helpful as they could be and seemed very receptive to my suggestions for more detailed release notes and improved QA testing.

Great bang for the buck
These cameras work awesome. Setup is super simple, and they can record video right to your NAS. 5GHZ wifi works great, and the picture quality is very good. Excellent bang for the buck.
