It works!
I like to take hot soup or tea with me for winter outings. This pint container has proven to be durable, keeps liquids hot for at least a half day and is easy to clean. If you drop it, it may dent, but being all metal, it survives and continues to do its job. The wide mouth makes it easy to eat from for stews or drink from. The screw on cap can be used as a serving bowl so you can share the contents with someone.

Borrowed my (youngest) daughters and I just had to buy my own.
I needed a thermos and did not have one. I was going hiking in the woods with my oldest daughter and her family on a nice fall day. I needed something to keep my chili hot for lunchtime. This was the perfect size container. The size fools you as it holds a lot and kept my chili pipping hot. The thermos was easy to open and did not leak at all. The Thermos brand lives up to it's name as the quality of this is very durable. I love that it has a spoon that folds and is placed in the lid. No worries about carrying or loosing utensils. So glad I bought my own! This will make a great gift too.

Gets the job done.
You can't go wrong with this brand and there's really not much to say about this little thermos except it does exactly what it's supposed to do! It keeps cold things cold and hot things hot. I got it for my future father-in-law and he has put everything from coffee to soup in it, and it works like a charm. Oh, it fit's nicely in the top of the Carhartt lunchbox by the way---or in the bottom due to its size.

Detailed Photos and Cleaning Tips-- DOESN'T LEAK!
This has been my favorite of all the hot lunch travel containers. I purchased two of this product, as well as two each of the 24 oz container and the 10 oz container. It has kept foods warm for 9 hours so far, with the best results being soups and other mainly liquid based items. My husband and I have both been using these containers most weekdays for the last 3 months and have had no issues. We both live and work in a city and rely on public transportation to get around, so our bags get tossed around and smushed, but absolutely no leaks thus far with this or the 24 oz version. This is the perfect amount of food for me, but it's a little too small for my husband, who prefers the 24 oz container.PROS:Does as advertised and keeps food hot for hoursDurable constructionEasy to clean (see cleaning tips for more info)Completely leak proof!!CONS:"footprint" is slightly large considering the sizeSpoon is useful but harder to clean because it folds (I put it through the dishwasher)Must be careful to not over tighten the lid while food is hot or it's hard to open laterHOW TO USE:Either heat water in the microwave or if you have very hot tap water, fill the container with heated waterCap using the inner screwtop lidWait 10-15 minutes, using this time to heat up whatever you'll want to eat for lunchPour out water and fill with foodClose inner lid (be careful how tight you screw the lid on, as it cools slightly this makes it hard to open)Wait until lunch and eat hot to warm food depending on how long it's beenCLEANING:You'll notice in the detailed picture that there is a clear silicon seal around the inner lid. Others have noted that they can't get this clean and mold grows. I slip this ring off and clean all parts separately, by hand, then allow them to air dry. Even with near daily use they still work wonderfully! If anything, I'm thinking about purchasing a few more because I'm lazy and wouldn't mind having one I could bring additional cold items in.PHOTO DESCRIPTION:The first photo is a comparison of each of the three models I've purchased. You'll see a size comparison between an iPhone 4 and an Amazon Kindle (and a Border Collie leering in the background). The second photo is all the components with the same scale reference of an iPhone 4. These are the parts from TWO containers so I could so all the different aspects and parts at the same time.Items mentioned and shown in the photos:Thermos Stainless Steel King 24 Ounce Food, Midnight BlueTHERMOS FOOGO Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel 10-Ounce Food Jar, Charcoal/Teal

Keeps Coffee Hot, Soul Warmer—Until the Insulation Quits on You Like a Burned-Out Intern
Let’s get this out of the way: when this thermos works, it really works. We’re talking lava-level coffee at noon, even if you filled it at 7 a.m. It’s like having a portable fireplace for your caffeine addiction. Cold drinks? Also excellent—think “ice cubes still clinking at sunset” vibes. But like any relationship, things can start off hot and eventually just… fizzle. What It Does Right:• Heat retention: It’ll keep your drink hot for hours. Not just kind of warm, but “burn your tongue at 3 p.m.” hot.• Cold retention: Ice doesn’t melt. Your iced tea stays arctic long enough to survive a road trip and a traffic jam.• Spill-proof: The lid is Fort Knox. Throw it in your bag, sideways, upside down—your belongings will live to tell the tale.• Sturdy: Built like a thermonuclear bunker. Drop it? It dents the floor. The Quirks:• Heavy: It’s not a thermos. It’s a commitment. You’re carrying a small steel cannonball everywhere.• Fussy lid: If you don’t screw it on just right, you’re risking a minor flood. It’s either totally secure or “hope you didn’t like that shirt.”• Cleaning: The lid has crevices that look like they were engineered by NASA. You’ll need a toothbrush, a Q-tip, and possibly emotional support.• Aging issues: After a year or two, the vacuum seal sometimes just… gives up. One day it’s a thermos. The next day it’s just a fancy, expensive cup. No warning. No closure.💬 Final Thoughts:This is the thermos equivalent of that friend who shows up early, helps you move, and then disappears from your life after a year without a trace. While it’s working? Incredible. Practical. Dependable. But once the insulation dies, it becomes just an attractive paperweight with trust issues.

Very nice little container just enough for lunch easy to clean
This is a perfect size for soups or any thing warm. We have done Chinese food in it a lot of different things because it’s easy to clean and start all over again. It keeps foods either hot or cold for 12 hours easily.
