Why did you pick this product vs others?:Our electrician said this is one of the most popular generators, and said it was a good choice. We have all gas appliances, 2 fridges, whole home A/C, and an electric car. We had the electrician install a hook up to our breaker box (~$1100). The generator does fine with everything but the A/C and electric car, we can shut off the fridges and the generator will run the A/C. If you want to run everything in the house you'll want a 50 AMP version with above 15,000 watts, maybe more if you have electric appliances.

This is a great machine for back up power. Easy setup and clear instructions. Owners manual is well written and easy to understand. The type is large enough to read easily. It has many features that make it very easy to use. I like the electric start and the battery charger that is supplied. The duel fuel feature is one of the many reasons I purchase this machine. I don't always have gas around but when the power goes out I always have propane available with my gas grill and a full tank back up. It is a little loud but aren't they all. I'll take the noise because it runs my AC. Over all this was a great purchase. It has many features to make this a good buy. I highly recommend this generator.

After three outages in ten months, I bit the bullet and purchased the Westinghouse WGen7500DFc in mid July 2023 from Amazon for $799. The gen arrived a little later in the day than promised but it wasn’t a problem. The driver placed it inside my garage and there was no visible damage to the box. Opening the box, I found everything intact and undamaged. The wheels were easily installed as were the rubber feet.I plan to NOT use gasoline as I own no other gas powered machines other than my car. I am lazy and don’t want the hassle of stabilizing gas, cleaning the float bowl, etc. I have multiple 20# LP tanks on hand. After filling the oil, connecting the battery and connecting the LP tank with the included hose, I pushed the START button and the gen fired right up with no hesitation. I let it run 5 minutes then hit the START button to stop it. It stopped with no issue. I pressed the START button on the key fob and again, it started right up. I let the unit run for 4 hours straight. At various times during the break in period, I added devices to put a load on it as recommended in other reviews. The gen ran smoothly and there were no oil leaks. The next day, I started it with the pull cord and it started in two pulls. After the break in period, I changed the oil and used synthetic 5W30 instead of the supplied 10W30. I want no issues in the dead of winter if needed. There haven’t been any leaks without it though.MEHThe fob. Not sure what the point of the fob is. Great product. Well built. Came highly recommended by our electrician. It’s nice to have quality products you don’t have to worry will break down (because your husband isn’t mechanical).

Easy to start and connect and run off LPG. I bought this as backup power for my home during a power outage and it capably powers everything in the 1100 foot space, including all utilities.
