Quick, easy, effective!
I had seen the telltale droppings, so I put out a few typical, snap-type traps one night. The next morning, all the peanut butter bait was eaten off one of them without the trap being sprung. Looked online and saw these - decent price for reusable, humane traps. Set them out last night. Had one trapped by this morning. The bait side of each of the four traps opened and closed easily, and the trap side set secure enough to put in place without tripping it, yet are sensitive enough to trip quickly.I still have to deal with releasing the little guy, but better than having to deal with one who is crushed. I know the spring type are reusable, but most are so gross that I would typically just throw the whole trap away.

Best trap
Worked the first night I used it. Best trap Iâve ever used.

They built a better mouse trap!
I didn't expect much because I have had so many mouse traps just not work. Often the bait is cleaned off and they don't trigger. I can confidently say, if there is a mouse, this will catch it... I am not really excited about them being alive still but luckily I live in the country and I can drive them a few minutes down the road and they can learn to fend for themselves...Easy to set, easy to load bait and fairly easy to dump live mice out of as long as you don't get scared when the run around confused at your feet..

These traps work.
These catch-and-release mouse traps are great. I got them on Tuesday, and by today, Thursday, I have caught 5 mice. I think 1 out of the four does not work. I was beginning to run out of ideas about how to get rid of them.

GREAT HUMANE TRAP
These are great traps . We had bought some others similar but they didn't work as good. These are very sensitive and we have been able to catch little mice before they get big.

MOUSE TORTURE CHAMBER. Also 2 out of 4 defective, all 4 hard to open
These things don't work right, as described below. I had to throw out 2 of the 4 because they were defective, and now I've discovered something even worse about them: Their doors catch the trapped mouse by the tail. Last night I put out my remaining 2 traps, and soon I heard sounds of struggle. Found a mouse in one with most of its tail trapped in the door. I was literally hanging in the air, because the trap's door had caught it by the base of the tail. I quickly took it outside and released it. This morning, I found another mouse in the trap who had had the last inch of its tail cut off by this cruel trap when it snapped off -- the little bit of tail was still in the door. It was pitiful. I think the maker put too strong a spring on the door, so it snaps shut with too much force. Whoever made things -- I hope an angry dog bites a chunk out of his butt! And on top of that, these things are hard to use, and 2 of them were so defective they were unusable.Had bought some similar mousetraps before, by maker Harris, and those worked fine. They were easy to use, and did not catch mice by the tail. These, by maker lllteri, looked just the same, so figured they were -- but NO. I bought 4. Two of them had something wrong with the little plastic tab that's on the end of the door at the mouse end of the trap. That door opens downward and is held open by the plastic tab on its end that tucks under another plastic bit inside the trap. The little "door" then forms a ramp that the mouse walks up. When the mouse reaches the top of the ramp his weight moves the plastic tab enough that it comes free from the thing holding it, and the door snaps shut behind the mouse. However, 2 out of 4 of these traps had tabs that were too short. One tab was so short that it simply did not reach the thing it's supposed to tuck behind, so it was impossible to I threw it away. Another one had a tab that just barely reaches. Sometimes this tab came loose just from the tiny jarring it gets when I set it downs. That leaves 2 traps out out of 4 whose mouse doors work properly. BUT all 4 of these traps had another problem: It is fairly hard to slide upen the end where you put in the bait. On the other brand the bait compartment slid out very easily -- you didn't even have to push it, you could turn the trap upside down and it would fall off. On these traps they stick. If you look at the illustration in the directions for use, you'll see 2 thumbs pressing firmly inward and upward on the bait holder, and that really is what you have to do. When you're loading in the bait, this is merely a nuisance. But when you've freeing a mouse that got caught in them, it's a real problem. The way you let the mouse out is to pull off the bait compartment, leaving that whole end open. If to pull open the bait door you have to face that end towards you and push hard with both hands, that means that when you free the mouse the trap is right in front of your face. I'm softhearted, and that's why I use these humane traps, but I do not want a freed mouse jumping out right onto my face!In short, this brand of trap seems like a badly made copy of the ones that work. Get another brand.I later found that other brands do the same thing -- catch the mouse's tail in the door. I think what causes these tail captures is that the door snaps shut too hard and fast after the mouse enters. The mouse isn't able to pull its tail free. I have modified my trap in a way that will spare the tails. It's possible that it will also allow the mouse to escape the trap, but I doubt it. My modification leaves the door a tiny bit open, and they might be able to grab the edge and pull it open fully -- but I don't think they have the intelligence or strength to do it. Here's how you make this trap humane. Get some tape -- I used duck tape. Cut a strip about 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches long, and roll it up into a little roll. Then take another strip of tape and use that to stick the roll in place on the inner roof of the trap right inside the door. This will keep the trap from closing fully and trapping the mouse's tail. I've included a photo of how it's done.

One-Time Use
These traps are very humane and work well! However, theyâre really only good for one-time use. Iâve noticed that the mice tend to chew through the plastic piece that triggers the trap door, making it unusable after one catch.

Great mouse trap!!
noticed something was invading the pop tarts and chips in the cupboard, now we just cant have that, those are my pop tarts and will fight for them!! didnt want the old style of muder, death, kill snap traps in the house, them can make such a mess if the critter explodes, and then theres the old getting my finger snapped while setting problem.ordered some of these live traps, not that i am a mouse lover, cant stand the rodents, but again, didnt want the mess in the cupboard.loaded it up with the tasty peanut butter the little varmits love so much, it wasnt in the cupboard more than 30 min and we got the first one. took him for a ride to the park and set him free, was kind of awful though for him, as he ran off a hawk swooped down and got some lunch, o well, it tried but that ol circle of life thing, hmmmpf.re-set it and got 3 more of them so it seems there was a party and my pop tarts were the main dish.we live in the country so critters are gonna try to come in when its warm, but we cant have any freeloaders enjoying my heated space and snacking on my pop tarts.so now one stays in the cupboard and 3 in the garage, caught a couple in the garage trying to infiltrate the front lines. got about 12 in total, didnt see the hawk anymore so they had that going for them.great traps, easy to use, humane (if thats a thing for you) easy to release the little buggers and easy to clean with the included brush.
