Hung on one of our deck poles. Had to brush the dead bugs out after the the second week. Love it.

I have used these outside for 4 or 5 nights so far. Yesterday I went outside to see how many skeeters it had zapped. On one there were about 4, and maybe a few on the other one. The blue light is a bit feint and doesn't attract as many as I thought it would. I left one outside and took one indoors to use as a hallway light when I get up to use the bathroom. Since it's in the hallway, I'm thinking it should give the mosquitos inside (if there *are* any) something to play with while I'm asleep. During the day it can sit on the window-sill and recharge. I changed this review after noticing that these things stop working after a half hour to an hour goes by. They have to be switched off and back on again for them to work. For me that makes them totally useless, even as a hallway light and that's why I'm lowering my star-rating from 4 stars to 1. Now they are just junk. If you buy these don't throw away the packaging or the box.

The pretty ultraviolet lights do work. I would say that is the highlight. The bug zapper doesn’t work. The motion detection lights don’t always work. I put tape over the weight sensors so that the motion detection didn’t work I’d like to look at the purple ultraviolet light without being bothered with the erratic lights going on and off.

These seemed really cool but they aren't very consistently working. It seems like only one of them worked well and still doesn't always work.

I have a bunch of these, while they get a bit yellow and rusted over time they still work pretty good.

I have these hanging on my shed and wooden fence for the dogs. When they run past them the light turns on everytime. The purple light is on all night killing mosquitoes. Would buy again for sure!

Have yet to see if this actually zaps it’s never caught a bug in front of me. I guess you’d say I’m disappointed.

Although this item is fairly easy to install, it did not work as described. The UV light never came on until the motion sensor activated the light. The instructions even state the UV light will remain on with a full charge. I had it hanging in the sun for 3 days and it still did not stay lit. The regular light would work as described but not the UV. And there is no other option to select other than on and off. I would not waste the money.Just to be clear, I have not reached out to the company. I am just going to return it.
