Five stars
Works great with my Raspberry Pi + Batocera set up, barely any set up needed, the USB controller presents as two joystick devices to your Pi or PC.You'll need a 28mm spade bit to drill the holes, the nut clamps the button to the control panel. Wiring is super easy with ribbon cables. My previous build used wires and spade connectors which created a mess of wires - this is much easier. You don't even need to power the LEDs its all automatic. The buttons and joystick also feel good quality. All the LEDs and button work no problems at all.Highly recommended.

Very Pleased
UPDATE:First retro arcade machine almost complete and this kit is fantastic for the price, even light up 👌Arrived today and although not tested (yet to build cabinet) the quality feels long lasting. The joysticks have a solid feel thanks to the metals used and how they are constructed. Buttons feel like they can take a beating with arcade fighting games like street fighter. For the price these are very good.

Mostly excellent
A great kit. The block connectors for the buttons are also an improvement over the separate type connectors.Only two issues:Some of the LEDs in the buttons were a bit temperamental and needed some coaxing and careful manipulation of the wires/connectors to stay on.The bigger problem is a design flaw in the joysticks. I noticed sometimes a loud clicking noise and slight resistance as the stick was moved about. After disassembling the sticks (and prising the god-awful C clips away) I found the culprit to be a metal washer onto which the black plastic housing of the spring sits. This was slipping out of its position and causing the noise. My solution was to superglue the washer down to its base and this instantly fixed the problem.

Works well and the joysticks are good quality
I got this for a DIY arcade build using a Raspberry Pi 4. I was very pleased when everything lit up first time. The buttons all worked and registered with the software, so very pleased.

Half of the LED lights don't work
The delivery was on time and there are no issues with the functioning of the buttons. But giving three stars primarily for two reasons.1. Instructions aren't clear enough.2. Half of the LED lights didn't work! Including spares. And the remaining half aren't bright enough, making it look worse than a layout without LED lighting. Now you can replace the spares, but guess what the spec says that it has to be a 5V with bead diameter of 6.3 mm and it's proving it to be a bit of struggle to find the spares. Hopefully will find them at some point of time but overall i wouldn't suggest this if you are looking to build a console with LED lighted layouts (unless you have spare at home)

Arcade machine....love it.
I decided at the age of 59 it was time to re-live my youth and show my grandkids what REAL arcade games are like! I designed and built a 70’s/80’s/90’s arcade console using a Raspberry Pi microcomputer and some scraps of wood. It was good but not authentic, so I decided to go the whole hog and buy buttons and joysticks like I used back in the day, hence I bought these and fitted them to the box. They are so authentic! Each button is spring loaded and lights up. By carefully taking them apart, you can ad letters like I did (see photo). The joysticks are really really really god, fast response and SO strong. Supplied is all the wiring, plugs and usb controllers to make the whole thing interact with the Raspberry Pi.Only problem is......I can’t get the blummin’ grandkids off it!Great product, robust and fast delivery. I cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic
Built my button box for flight sim using this. Anyone know the type of 3 pin cables that come with the kit and where to buy them ?
