Some helpful hints I found have helped to keep this humidifier working.First, make sure the tape and Styrofoam block are removed from the product.Second, when filling the tank, make sure that room temp water is added, especially the for the first time. Hot water may damage the seal.Third, do not fill water above the MAX level. The extra weight may cause leaks in the seal.Fourth, all small humidifiers like this will get bacteria/mold if not cleaned every 2-3 days. It is the nature of having water heating up for days without cleaning. If you don't like cleaning it every three days, understand that there will be mold/bacteria inside the base's small tank. It's just that simple. Cleaning is easy, but it takes some time to thoroughly clean the unit.... and fifth, make sure NO water gets in the part that looks like a tower on the base's smaller tank. A small amount will flood the air intake and the electronics' board. This will mess up the controls. If it does happen, use a blow dryer on low to try and dry the board at the base of the unit. Otherwise, a couple of days should dry it out. If it isn't severely flooded, it may still work.Also, NEVER put anything but water in the tank when in use. Vicks, scented oils, or anything else will wreck this humidifier. The only thing I use in the tank is white vinegar to clean and descale it, but after that kind of cleaning, I rinse it out thoroughly and then dry it completely. Keep in mind, tap water is not the best water to use (lots of minerals) which is why white dust from this humidifier can go everywhere in the home and stick to the inside areas of the humidifier. Best to use distilled water or at least buy a demineralizing cartridge if using tap water (they last 4-6 months). Hope these helpful hint work for your humidifier. Took a lot of trial and error beforehand, but once I used this information, there hasn't been an issue yet with my Dreo humidifier or any of my previous humidifiers.Best of luckUPDATE: I started to have some issues with dust just like what others have be experiencing. I contacted Dreo by email and customer rep, Carol Hesung, was able to help resolve the problem. While suggesting that distilled water is the best way to combat the dust, I mentioned it wouldn't work out for me due to the high cost of distilled water per month. Carol understood and offered a complete refund for this unit and for the larger unit I purchased. Not only that, the demineralizing cartridge filter (3-pack) I bought was also refunded. Carol said there was no need to return any of these products. Not only was I pleasantly surprised with this outcome, it proved to me that Dreo is all about making it right for the customer if problems arise. With the actions Dreo has made, I will definitely recommend them and make future purchases from this company. Their customer service has been stellar and I wish other businesses would follow their lead. The Dreo team puts customers first and that is one of their best services offered. Thank you Dreo and thank you Carol.I was able to set the Dreo up quickly and finally get some moister back into my room. So far, this is product is working very well. It is super quiet, compact and easy to take apart, clean and put back together. There are many easily operated controls for such a small unit. 4L is quite small for my living room, but for a small bedroom, this will do the trick. I am pleased with the looks, the style, the easy operation, the light system, but most of all the steam output and the way you can direct the steam is an added bonus. If this can last as long as my old humidifier of 9 years, then I will be that loyal customer only to Dreo for sure. It really is a good humidifier even for its smaller footprint. Definitely recommend.

This humidifier has completely transformed my sleep routine. The mist output is just right, not too strong or too weak, and the sleep setting runs quietly all night without any disturbances. I especially love the soft blue light; it's incredibly calming and creates a peaceful atmosphere in the room. It’s become part of my nightly wind-down, and I’ve been sleeping deeper and waking up feeling more refreshed. Easy to use, easy to clean, and genuinely effective. Highly recommended!

Wonderful humidifier. Plan on getting a second one for my bedroom. I've had several over the years, and I can honestly say this is the best. Doesn't leave water anywhere, has a great stream of very fine mist, is very quiet, and shuts off automatically when the tank runs dry. Haven't had to clean it yet, I use distilled water, but I think it'll be easier than ones in the past. It also has a much smaller footprint than my old ones, but holds almost a full gallon of water. Can't say enough good about it.

This works amazing. Very happy I chose this one. The water lasts for over 12+ hours on the highest setting, making it easily last through the night. It does have a night mode that turns the lights off and lowers the power setting which makes it even more quiet than it already is. I can sit right next to it and barely hear it while watching TV. Incredibly easy to put together/clean (just stack and fill with water) and fits almost anywhere. It does say to not use essential oils directly in the humidifier although it does give instructions on how to us them if you'd like.Only con is there isn't a reader for the humidity %. Otherwise I have zero complaints.

As a first-time mom, I wanted to replace my old humidifier with one that was easy to clean. I did a lot of research. There are many great options and their respective dupes out there, but I ultimately went with this Dreo humidifier. I have to be honest, while it was on my list of options post research, I mainly bought it because I was so overwhelmed by the choice. Which would be BEST for my little one and easiest to clean? Well, I have to say that I am impressed with this humidifier and very happy with my purchase.It has a large tank which holds quite a bit of water to last all night on full power. The tank is also large enough for easy cleaning. I can get my hand in to scrub, if necessary. The base of the humidifier is also easy to clean as there are no small crevices or sharp right angles. This was huge for me. The only part of the humidifier that MAY be tricky when it comes to cleaning is the center column where the humidified air is released. However, it does not appear to me that any standing water can exist in this center column, so I believe that in itself keeps this portion from growing mold. I am diligent about cleaning the unit with vinegar, always using distilled water, and keeping it dry when not in use, but I believe that with even mediocre maintenance, the unit should remain clean.Also, the output is amazing. There are very small lights on the unit, but they in no way brighten a room. They are merely visible indicators of the unit being on and in which modes.When turning on the unit, it beeps. It also beeps when you change modes. The beeps are by no means loud and they have never disturbed my little one.Lastly, it’s whisper quiet and does not gulp like many humidifiers do.I recommend to anyone, but especially to those first time parents looking for something effective, easy to clean, that won’t break the bank, and one that will likely be on your doorstep by 10pm because sometimes you need a humidifier ASAP.

I absolutely fell in love with this cool mist humidifier. Is easy to operate and take apart for cleaning. It puts out an amazing amount of cool mist into the room. I immediatelyturned around and bought a second one. Great product!
