Let's get one thing straight right from the beginning. There are NOT high quality boots. They are cheaply made, but that's ok because at $60 they're cheaply priced. I knew what I paid for these, and that set the bar for my expectations: I'm not judging these boots to the same standard that I use for my $200 work boots that I buy locally.Ok, now for my first impressions (I will update this review in a couple months):Construction is 99% glued, not stitched - expected for an inexpensive boot.I normally wear a 12 wide, and that's what I ordered. These fit really nicely right out of the box. I mean, *really* nicely. They fit like boots that have been worn in for a week first time I put them on. That's a really big plus for me because on most boots (regardless of price) they just aren't wide enough and squeeze the balls of my feet until the leather stretches.The support is pretty good, though I replaced the foam rubber insole with a better one right away. This isn't because of any problem with the originals, I do that with every shoe I buy.Arount the ankles they are comfortable and supportive as you'd expect from an 8" boot and don't show any manufacturing defects that could dig into the skin or anything, so again, high marks there for a boot at this price point.The lowers have a reasonable tread, and after one light shift at work, I didn't have any problems with traction or slipping. They are not the cheap 'dense foam rubber' that some boot bottoms are made with, they feel like 'real' rubber, if that makes any sense. Again, pretty good for a $60 pair of boots.The side zipper has functioned well so far, but it feels kinda light duty. Gut feel, I think this will be the first thing to go, but there are no problems with them right now, so we'll see.Under the zipper is a web of light pleather material, I assume to help with water resistance. I though it would dig in and be uncomfortable once I tightened the laces, it it has actually been fine. So once again, very good for an inexpensive boot.So overall, I give these boots very high marks. I'm really happy with the fit and function after a day and a half. Five stars.I will edit this review if these boots fail or have any significant issues within six months, I think that's a fair life expectancy for them. If thay last longer than that I'de consider it icing on the cake, and I'd probably buy them again if they do.

Pros: Good comfortable fit. Very well made, stout, good stitching. Lightweight. Looks like the inner sole was sewn in and glued which should give a long service life. Wore for two hours in the snow/slush and feet kept dry and warm. Very good YKK zipper. If you have a sticky zipper use ordinary hand soap to lubricate it. As I said, they fit VERY well. I am very pleased. The heel box and toe box is a good fit for me. Boots are good looking and very well made, and should last a long time. HIghly recommend. Also would like to say their customer service is FIVE STAR. They are VERY responsive. Hats off to IVY who was VERY helpful - thank you Ivy and Happy New Year.Cons: Haven't found any.

I have bought the 8 inch Nortiv 8 boots before and they were very comfortable. These 6 inch Nortiv 8 boots are less comfortable mostly because the shaft is shorter.Because the shaft is shorter, the opening is narrower and makes it harder to get my foot into the boot The 8 inch boot opens wider (probably because the shaft is taller) and the shaft acts as a shoe horn to help guide my foot into the boot.Because the shaft is shorter, the collar rubs against my leg above the ankle as I walk. A little bit more padding on the collars of these boots would have fixed the problem. The collar of the 8 inch shaft sits higher on my calf and does not move much relative to my leg as I walk.Other than these shortcomings, the 6 inch boots are as comfortable as the 8 inch boots and require little break in. These boots have a lot of grip (on dry pavement) so be careful to not make sudden turns so as not to twist your ankles.Another minor issue is the way the boots were packaged. They arrived with the laces going from the outside through the eyelets to the inside (see pictures). To tie the boots, I have to first pull the laces out of the top eyelets. (I do not know how to tie the boots from the inside, fcol.) The problem is there are eyelets on the outside of the boots, but only holes on the inside. This makes the hard ends of the laces difficult to line up with the eyelets and be pulled through. This took quite a bit of effort as I didn't want to damage the laces in case I have to return these boots. I wish Nortiv 8 would just lace these boots ready to be used than to make them look good. This would not be a problem if you wear your boots like the models with the ends of the laces tucked inside your boots!!

Have had these boots for two weeks so far and really like them. They seem to be really good boots for the price.LIKES: Good construction, true to size, comfortable out of the box.DISLIKES: So far, the only two dislikes are the fact that the grommets for the laces are only on the exterior of the boot, not both exterior and interior, and the could pull out, and the collar of the ankle of the boot is a little big around my ankle.COMMENTS: I work Hospital security, which means I walk constantly during my shift. Inside and outside. Up and down stairs. On all sorts of surfaces. Comfortable from the start with good traction and decent flexibility. If they can continue to endure, they will be well worth the investment.UPDATE. Have had my boots for almost a month now. Still comfortable, still holding up well. I have walked through a variety of fluids at work and grip and traction have been great.

Excelentes botas para motociclistas, cómodas de buen terminado, protegen pie y tobillo. Ligeras pero de muy buena construcción. Con el cierre lateral no las tienes que desabrochar para quitártelas. 100% recomendadas.

Bought these for a work boot. They're sturdy and good enough to be able to walk around in all day.
