I have purchased several baby-proofing locks over the last few months and these are the first ones that actually work and keep my 1 year old out of the kitchen cabinets. However, these are hard to install in that there is a lot of guesswork required to place the pieces on the cabinet and if you dont line them up perfectly then the cabinet wont lock; the first layer of tape eventually stopped sticking from having to re-position the lock so much. A stencil would be incredibly helpful to get instalation done properly and quickly! Also, the first layer of tape eventually stopped sticking from having to re-position the lock so much. Spare 3M tape would also be helpful so you can get more than one use of a lock; currently you cant re-use locks as if you want to remove it and place it in another cabinet there is no tape to stick it on with. I guess you can buy regular 3M tapes and cut them to shape but im not sure if they would stick as well.

Okay so installation is awesome and it's almost entirely idiot proof.There's a temporary 3m sticker which allows you to place the thing "Willy Nilly" to get it lined up, as your cabinets may or may not work in the initial placements you have for various reasons, this was an awesome way to place the lock and catch onto the cabnet to "Test' if it would work. The magnet goes through the cabnet with ease, they store on the fridge (magnets, yay!), and the screws included are not too long for most cabnets...HOWEVER: The screws are a rounded head... and this product was designed so very well I was shocked to see this. One cabnet could only have the brace mounted a certain way... and as I did not want just tape holding it in I screwed in the holes and... oof! They're rubbing against the cabnet! If they were flat screw heads that were designed to recess into the mounting bracket that would have been perfect and I'd have given 5 stars.Otherwise a very good product... but I do not understand why they did not include flat/recessable mounting screws but rather gave phillips screws with domed heads. This is an oversight, but the ONLY oversight - fix this very simple to fix issue and the product would be flawless.

I gave this product only 2 stars because they sent ocean rather than the ivory I ordered. Also the ocean seems to be old product because the protective cover on the permanent stick pads barely come off and yet the temporary sticky pads come off the product way too easy, sticks to the cabinet requiring a step to remove the glue. That said the product does work well. This was my second order of them and would recommend them to any. Just be prepared for the conditions I outlined earlier.January 2019 update - I am moving my review to 1 star. The product is designed well but the teal colored locks I received must be old, the locks are now falling off which will require the locks to be mounted with screws. The first ones I received were Ivory and I have had no issues with them.

We recently moved to a new home and needed to childproof. At our previous home we used this same style lock but the version we had were no longer available so I decided to give these a try.Installation was as easy as could be. I prefer the screw option to the 3M tape but did utilize the 'pre tape' option for placement during install. I simply place the frame mount piece on the top edge of the cabinet and then line up the latch to catch on the door - test - and then stick the screws in the middle of the slots - they provide plenty of adjustment to fine tune.The best part of these compared to our older style is the magnet to open the doors. It is VERY strong and VERY forgiving for the proper placement to open. I highly recommend these - especially for sensitive areas where you want to keep kiddos out such as under the sink. In my experience these last far longer than the simple push down latches and you are able to adjust these latches to prevent any fingers from being able to caught in the door.Great Job Roving Cove!

i was dreading babyproofing the kitchen cabinets because i've been to other people's houses and the standard locks are quite annoying, so i was excited to find these, and they are awesome! easy to install, and easy to use, they keep my son out (didn't even use screws, just the included strong tape), and we are able to deactivate them if we're in the kitchen and want to get in and out of the cabinets easily for a while. definitely recommend!!

Diappointed.First off, these will not work in drawers with a face that overlaps the base (is larger than the drawer hole).Second, two of my eight had malfunctioning toggles, so they never stayed locked in either position.Third, my ten-month-old pulled hard enough on his first try that he broke the strong tape, and was able to open the cabinet.Sorry folks, not for me.

Took a chance on these, we’ve tried so many different child safety locks. This one is by far the easiest install, easiest to use, strong enough to withstand several children over a long period of time. We love them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who’s tired of picking up everything that was in the cabinet and now is spread across the floor in two rooms! She tries to open it, it won’t open and she’s off to the next adventure.

Excellent quality, in fact, the best I have seen and tried. The adhesive is extremely durable and does exactly as stated. I purchased one package, and then recently ordered and received 2 more packages.
