87W USB-C Power Adapter Replacement

UPDATE:After reporting my problem the vendors very quickly responded and offered a replacement or a refund. I had already bought another adaptor, so I elected for a refund. I greatly appreciate the high quality customer service. We were outside of the amazon window to do anything, but the seller stands by their product and offered this critical option. I retract my original review suggesting you stay away. Perhaps I got a faulty adaptor. So if you decide to order one, you can know that you can purchase with confidence that the seller will honor their quality guarantee!I updated to 4 stars, since although I did end up with a faulty product, the great service changes the experience completely.ORIGINAL:This product used to work nicely just like my OEM Apple 87W Charger on my 2018 15" MBP. I use it at home and it doesn't travel anywhere.However, lately, it's now the most frustrating part of my day. It doesn't work right. When I plug the cable into the computer, the computer gives a "ding" to confirm it's plugged in and charging, and the battery icon will change to indicate it's charging. BUT about 80% of the time, it doesn't actually charge.This is obviously not acceptable. It's also REALLY frustrating when you leave it to charge over night and plan to use it at a coffee shop or in transit and it's dead!The only way you can tell if it's actually charging is to click the battery icon and see the dreaded message "Battery Not Charging. Power Source: Power Adapter".Imagine how annoying this is when the computer is fully dead and you can't power it up to check!!It's not a matter of a loose connection. Without touching the adaptor itself, I can flip on/off the power strip that it's plugged into and, eventually, after some apparently random number of tries, the battery icon message will change to "Calculating time until full. Power Source: Power Adapter". And then it will start charging!It's terrible to have power be unreliable and also so difficult to tell when it's actually working or not!!I'd love to return this item, or have it repaired. The picture says "Lifetime warranty". But I can't see how to use that warranty.I saw at least one reviewer state that there is outstanding customer service. I hope that's the case...In the meantime, I can only advise you to stay away from this product and get the real apple adaptor is just not worth the few bucks of savings...

So I decided to buy one, and opted with this for several reasons.One reason being that it had incredible reviews and ratings. The other reason being that it supported IQ technology.It can charge your computer in the most appropriate way according to the power of your laptop and intelligent output voltage and current for your computer.In addition, it has a 6.56 feet(2m)long USB-C cable, which is very convenient to use.The product arrived on time and with accurate packaging. It looked as if it was an extremely expensive product. Inside the product box, the charger itself was in a thin, plastic casing. Overall, from the product itself and to actually using it. It is an awesome accessory.My experience with the product has been very good.I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, yet stylish charger.

The charger I originally received did not work very at all. BUT Elsa, a customer service rep, offered to provide a brand new charger for me and a full refund which was really nice. This time the charger works very well, so it could’ve just been that I got a defective charger originally. Great customer service by Elsa. She was very helpful. You can be confident in ordering this product.

This is an awesome charger. I could tell as soon as I had it in my hand it was gonna be a good one, just from the weight (quality components). It fits firmly into the outlet. My USB fits nice and snug in it.It looks great and charges my Macbook Pro quickly without any excessive heat. There isn't anything I would change about it.I'm 100% satisfied, especially for the price.The high quality charger looks great, works very well and is small enough for me to keep in my laptop bag and several other locations around my home. It charges not only my Macbook Pro but also my family android devices very quickly. It is really a great charger and is also my favorite of the other chargers I've tested and purchased over the years.I've used it for two weeks and so far it works great! I decided to write this review because I like it so much.And I am happy to recommend this good product to others.If the seller has anything else I need, I'll give it a priority.

My original charger broke so i needed a new one. I decided to buy this on Amazon since there are many good reviews and it is significantly cheaper than the original one. i am happy with this purchase. It charges my laptop pretty fast and I have been using it for a week and haven't had any problems with it. I really like it that the cable is long enough!

I am pleased to have found this charger after trying two other brand chargers that failed to achieve anywhere near their advertised ratings.Compared to the original apple charger, its price surprised me.And what makes me more satisfied is the high quality of the product. I have used two other brands of chargers before this, but unfortunately, neither of them can achieve the expected effect.And it didn't take long for them to stop working.However this charger works very well, it's not original, but it can charge my MBP very well, I don't think it's any different from my original.What's more, it has worked well so far, unlike my other chargers, which stopped working soon.I'm very happy to find this charger and I'll buy another one as a backup.
