What I needed.
I needed the help of a friend to get the gas cylinder off the chair so that I could install it, but once we got the cylinder disconnected from the chair, it was exactly what I needed.

Served it’s purpose
I ordered an office chair from Amazon and this part was damaged. So, I ordered this part as a replacement. It fits fine but it’s thin and will be probably be easy to break. So, be careful when applying it for your purpose.
