TOMB OF DRACULA OMNIBUS VOL. 1 [NEW PRINTING] (The Tomb of Dracula Omnibus)

Tomb of Dracula is one of the best comics from one of the best eras in comics. This volume is a must have. Excellent purchase, seller was excellent as well. Just finished it and I had never read Tomb of Dracula, just heard about what a great book it was over the years & decided to give it a shot. Glad I did. Highly recommended.

Sensational comics, which marked an era at Marvel!

This review is for the 2018 reprint—I missed out getting this the first time around. Very pleased with the layout and binding of this version. Color levels look great and ink is sharp. If you are debating buying this, I would recommend this version or either the individual paperback volumes 1-2 (at a much more affordable price). Overall, I’m very satisfied with this Omnibus and absolutely love the Dracula stories here. Top notch Marvel.

I thought about picking up the previous omnibus editions in black and white, but then I heard this one was about to come out. So here you have it, all in beautiful color, and the way it was meant to be. Acutally. the single issues in Sweden during the 70s & 80s were heavily editied and a lot was missing in the stories (even whole pages), so to finally read it like this is a great deal of fun for me. This is how old comics should be presented to a younger crowd, NOT in cheap black and white!

The artwork in this omnibus is worth the price alone. I love the dreamy 1970s quality of it all. Something about the panels that remind me of that era, not necessarily nostalgic but spooky. Colors washed in the shadows blending into each other, vague nightmare and gothic feel. Highly recommended to anybody who is into art, Dracula, and the dark side of the 70s.

I love this book. I just started to read it. I have about half of these comics in my personal collection. It's one of the first comics I read. It's how my Mom got me to read anything. She would get the 3 or 4 for a dollar, cover half ripped off. Now I can enjoy this comic all together and in pristine condition for the first time. Can't wait for volume 2. Marvel at its finest. Nuff Said.

I am only about half way through this book, the writing is good and the artwork is very nice. I can't wait for marvel to put out a Tomb Of Dracula vol 2. Unfortunately, I would have given this review five stars but due to Marvel's horrible glue binding I can only give it 3. Basically, out of the last 5 omnibuses i have ordered 4 have had binding issues. I recommend looking for these defects when you first get the book, all you need to do is open the book in the middle, and if you see the binding is coming away from the brown backing, the book will fall apart in time. One book I got it was like this, I returned it, and the replacement was the same but not as bad. I ended up fixing the problem on my own with a hot glue gun. Anyway, shame on Marvel, the quality in their hard covers are so inconsistent its a joke, folks are shelling out alot of cash for these, don't be cheap A-holes about it, give us what we paid for.

I collect Tomb of Dracula comics, but do not read them. I do not want to further wear the comic, and need print that old isn't a real feast for the eyes. The omnibus is great. Its huge, with nice glossy pages and brilliant color.

Ich war nie so richtig ein Fan von Gene Colan, der ja von vielen fast kultisch verehrt wird. Sein Zeichenstil ist einfach nicht so recht nach meinem Geschmack. Dennoch legte ich mir als deutscher Marvel-Fan „der ersten Stunde“ (Stichwort BSV-Williams) diesen mit knapp € 70,- sehr günstigen Omnibus-Wälzer zu, da ich als Junge seinerzeit auch von Marvels Dracula-Version angetan war und grundsätzlich zur Nostalgie neige.Nicht bereut! Die Geschichten wirken auch heute noch „modern“; Colans Kunst passt, zugegeben, zum Fürsten der Finsternis, und so bleibt nur zu sagen: Gut gesaugt!

Beautiful glossy hardback and delivery was second to none!
