Yes it is. If you look on eBay you will see batteries for the T540p also listed as compatible for T440p, W540 and a few others.

I don't know the answer to your Question. But I would never again purchase a ZTHY battery. The one I purchased failed just a little over the warranty period. Was unable to get any warranty relief. Amazon was no help either. I ended up by a brand new Lenovo battery on eBay.

If you buy it on Amazon it would be returnable, especially on Prime. As far as delivery I got mine in a few days but Amazon shipping is really variable right now.

You have to do it through amazon. They have a 'Product Support' button in your order details and you need to chat with them to get support from the seller.
