Great attachment
Overall I love this attachment. It is a little large as some other reviewers have mentioned but it hasn't hindered anything that I've used my Dremel tool on at this time. I did buy a case that the battery Dremel tool initially fit perfect in but this attachment makes it stick up somewhat. The case will still close and the Dremel tool will still stay in place regardless of the tip end sticking up. I could take the tip off for the tool to fit as it did before I added it but that would defeat the purpose for me buying it. I wanted this attachment so I wouldn't have to keep using the wrench to change out other attachments. It works great and I've had no slippage on using various attachments after tightening them down just by hand.

It's Good But it's Not a Magic Fix!
About the only thing i hate with my Dremel is the original chuck head. So you can imagine how excited I was to see they had a fix.Well it's an improvement but it still has some issues.Right out of the box I found the the advice in some of these reviews very helpful because the instructions are in micro size print and don't really explain the process properly. As stated in reviews it is a spring loaded head and the bit grips are tightened inward by the head being screwed down on the Dremel. So it is not like a traditional Drill chuck! The second issue is that the head width takes away some of the versatility that I had with the original head. It's still a better design but I wish they had come up with something even better. I would gladly pay a bit more for a slimmer version that could be tightened and loosen by hand like this one.The third issue is that the small area they provided underneath the chuck for the Dremel wrench to tighten the head down is very small edge and hard to see and use.Luckily for most applications hand tightening is good enough.Overall it's a vast improvement for some applications like using Drill Bits and cutting disks. I am not all that thrilled about using it with the Drum sanding bits as the Chuck is almost as wide as the largest Drum and way bigger than the small drums. It is pretty easy when working at 90 degrees to hit the material with the chuck and damage the item. Also they don't recommend using it with the router bits and I can see why.Basically a must have Item for high usage Dremel users, but it's not a singular Fix for the old chuck head.

I like it

Does the trick
Does what it says on the box. Handy for those tiny bits the mandrel doesn’t handle without a hack.

Fits my little dremel and his bigger one.
I bought it for my dremel- my husband eyed it saying he'd like one too....(one thing he DIDN'T have in his shop) so I said Merry Christmas! and then I bought me another one...

Excellent Upgrade to Your Dremel or Other Rotary Tools
The Dremel 4486 Keyless Chuck is well made and makes changing bits very easy. It also fits non-Dremel motors (e.g. Milwaukee rotary motor). Eliminates the hassle of using a wrench to change bits.
