Don’t hesitate, just intonate! (With this kit)
Fantastic Kit! I’ve used other tools, and this seems to address all my complaints, easy to read , and the instructions make it a snap to follow.I’ve tried doing my own setups for years and was always frustrated that it wasn’t quite right or I did something wrong. The string radius was super helpfulDid my first guitar in about 10 minutes with this kit, and was blown away by how much better it played.I bought a 1800 Strat at Guitar center that came out the box setup like dog turd. When I asked them to do the setup, they told me they don’t do setups with new guitars and I would have pay their tech another $100 bucks to set up.5 minutes with this kit and it plays amazing. Screw you guitar center, you lost another customer to sweetwater.

Completely demistified setup for me.
These measuring tools are very well thought out and turn what has previously been a trial and error process for me into something quick and systematic.

If you're serious about playing a guitar, buy this
I've been around guitars most of my life. Always struggling to learn. I always thought set ups were for techs and pros to do. But after seeing a few videos about how to do it. I thought I could do it too.One thing I never thought of before was having the radius of the strings at the bridgeFor less than the price of having 1 guitar set up done by a "pro," I ordered this set of tools. And can do all my own set ups. Most players probably have 3 or more guitars. So this well help you understand your guitar better and how it works.I fist set up took me about 45 min to do a Les Paul type guitar. I use my least expensive guitar just in case I screwed up something. With my tools ready and the music nomad kiss video on YouTube, it was pretty straight forward. The only thing I got wrong was using the pick capo swrong at first. The pick capo is the only part on this kit that I feel is kinda cheap, however it is functional. Now all the gauges are great clearly marked, easy to read and use. Buy the time you do 2 or 3 different set ups, everything makes more sense. The case it nice, and has extra room for small tools, accessories, or even a clip on tuner or a traditional capo. One thing I never thought of was matching the radius of the saddle with the neck radius. But as soon as I saw and heard that on the video, I was like well duh. Makes sense that it would match.I do think it's a little pricey for what it is, but totally worth it fore what I can do! Also remember it pays for itself in 2-3 set ups. Now, all my guitars a re very similar, not 100% identical, but ever so close. This definitely makes them easier to play, and I think it makes you a starter player buy understanding your instrument more.

Perfect!
Music Nomad makes great tools for guitars, period. They're cheaper than that other overpriced company, (S&M) and they work well! I have a bunch of their tools. Before, I would use my own feeler gauge set and a machinists 6" scale and other generic tools. MN's tools come with instructions and at first you might think their instructions are, "generic" and only a starting point. Well, they're not! I used the nut slot feeler gauges and I thought all of my nuts were already cut as deep as I could go without getting string buzz; I was wrong! I was able to bring my nut slots down considerably without getting any buzz. The difference was noticeable. For one, when you fret a low note, the string no longer goes sharp, making you chance your tail, (and intonation).I also have their nut slot files and those are great as well! I just ordered over $200 worth of additional tools from them, including the "S" fret dresser, workspace mat and some other things. They put a lot of thought into all of their tools. I can't recommend them enough!

MusicNomad Precision 6 pc. Guitar Setup Gauge Tool Set
It is a little pricey, but see how much a pro chargers. Took me some time to learn how to use it, never having done this.I have a Peterson clip-on strobe tuner for the intonation, thats the only thing that I can see that you could possible need to get. If you go to their sight they will show you step buy step how to use all of the tools.I did not try to do the nut filing, way over my skill sets and mine was close enough for me, not a pro, just play for fun.

well made and easy to use
This is a great set of gauges. Well-made, easy to use and everything is clearly marked. This was my first time setting up my Epi Les Paul and I found the online videos very helpful. If like me, you have only changed strings before you will have no trouble using these gauges. After following the instructions and a new set of string my guitar sounds and feels like it did when it was new.
